Intellicue Helps Schools Reach Out
Downingtown, PA – 1/20/2008
Amidst trends of tightening educational budgets and increasing demands for communication and alert systems, Intellicue
TM announced today that it will begin efforts to help educational institutions communicate more freely with their students and families.
“Even schools that have an existing emergency alert system can use Intellicue to communicate with their families more often,” noted Keri Sarojak, Intellicue’s Co-founder and Vice President. “Other messaging systems can be quite expensive, often requiring high-cost hardware or software configuration at the onset, and they almost always require that the school pay for every message sent.”
In contrast, Intellicue’s internet-based messaging platform requires no hardware or software configuration costs, and is free for schools to use. It is also free for families to receive messages from the school via email. As an option, families may choose to receive messages via telephone as either a call or a text message for a nominal fee per message.
In addition to helping reduce costs, Intellicue’s publisher-subscriber business model also reduces the school’s administrative efforts in managing their students’ contact information. By allowing each family to input and update its own contact information, Intellicue helps keep the school’s contact lists as fresh as possible, thereby maximizing the odds of successful delivery of each message the school sends.
Intellicue begins their 2008 conference schedule by exhibiting at the Florida Educational Technology Conference (
www.fetc.org) being held in Orlando, Florida from January 23rd through 25th. Their next stop will be at the American Association of School Administrators’ 2008 National Conference (
www.aasa.org) on Education being held in Tampa, Florida on February 15th and 16th.
